   Repot in different soil. This happened to me over time again…then I started bonsai and learned about Akadama, Pumice, and lava rock. It requires watering more frequently…but drains incredibly well and the results are phenomenal.

   Not for a few weeks, but until the soil is dry and it starts showing signs of wilting in the opposite direction (too dry). It's easier to recover a dry plant than a drowned one, which is something I'm still working on remembering. But when it starts "telling" you it's too dry, that's the sign that it's exhausted its excess water. Repotting it is also a good idea because root rot can set in while you're waiting for it to naturally dry, but I can't repot mine easily (they're in large pots and double as bottle kitten graves).
