My cat keeps peeing in my plants, her litter is clean and i haven't moved it in years, she has just started doing this, does anyone know why she does this and how i stop it?

    You should go to your veterinarian, could be a medical issue.

    Any major changes otherwise? New pets, deaths, kids? My kitty gets mad when she feels ignored and she’ll pee on things she knows we pay attention to (a work bag, clothes, by the indoor plants)

      No changes, i rarely mess with my plants just the occasional water

      I’d take her to the vet then, could be a UTI

    Behavioral possibilities include: •saw or smelled another cat, is insecure about it, and is territory marking. •something about the plant's smell says "pee here" (it may be hard to get cat to stop using it because if it didn't smell that way before, it does now.) •cat doesn't like the litter texture and likes the softer dirt. •cat doesn't like litterbox style or location (they prefer open areas where they can see thier surroundings, so enclosed types can cause insecurity)
