Hi friends! I want to get into taking care of plants and having some greenery in my space. I have 3 cats and while I know some plants are toxic to cats, I’m unsure of which ones…if anyone could give some tips and names of plants to avoid bringing in the home, that would be great:)
Peperomias are some of my favorite cat safe ones! Look up the type to be sure before purchasing one, but most of them should be good! Lots of varieties for different options, and all are beautiful!

If you’re brand new to taking care of plants, two types of plants that are cat safe and hard to kill are spider plants and cast iron plants. I’ve had a spider plant for over 10 years and my cat munches on it all the time. Recently ordered a cast iron ‘milky way’ for my office since it can tolerate low light and is cat safe.

I just bought a majesty palm and a money plant today! And I have 3 cats! They are cat safe! :)
Ponytail palms and parlor palms are cat safe and lovely plants! (Philodendrons are toxic in addition to the pothos listed above) ASPCA has good info on what plants are and aren’t toxic, you can search on their website. It’s my source of truth :)

maybe try plants that prefer to hang! false shamrock is hard to kill (trust me, you can see when it needs watering) and it’s much happier hanging for more light
