   Hi! Peace lily can cause oral irritation—maybe your cat’s into that burn or tingle. But I would discourage it if possible because it can lead to your pet having significant GI upset. Unlike true Lillies, it won’t cause rapid kidney failure but still be aware! I’m not sure if it’s safe for the plant, but you could try spraying “bitter yuck” on it to keep your cat from continuing to chew it

   Yea definitely try to keep them away! Lilys are not good for cats and repetitive exposure can be really bad for them! Maybe move the plant to a room the cat can’t get to? I agree with the other commenter that they might like the tingling feeling but it’s definitely not safe

   this is a toxic plant. it can be deadly and cause kidney failure. i am a vet tech, please separate your plants from your cats plz!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🖤

   My cats do this with my lemon-lime prayer plant. They don’t eat it, just punch holes in the leaves with their teeth.

   One of my cats just likes to bite/chew. We got him one of those dynamite kick sticks and it’s really satisfying his bite crave. Also, those treats that are long and skinny and kinda look like dog treats do the same thing for him. For us, giving him something else to satisfy that behavioral itch has been successful in keeping him out of plants.
