Hi everyone, I have been pruning my large bird of paradise and have discovered that ants are inside of the dying stems. Do I need to be worried about this? Could it be the cause of the dead limbs? For context it was been incredibly hot where I live so I assumed the curling leaves and dying flowers was a result of the heat. I have also noticed other bird of paradise around my town looking the same. Thanks!

They secrete nectar therefore the ants. Check for other pests and treat accordingly. Do a search online for natural remedies on treatment before you take out the big guns! I hope it recovers!

This happens to me to, what you need to do make a solution of vinegar and water and then spray it on the plant. I used this method and it worked amazing
