I just got two new (pet-safe) plants and my cat seems determined to eat them. What are some good ways to deter my cat from destroying the plants?

    There are many different things you can do; 1. Soak cotton balls in vinegar solution and place them on top of the soil (the smell of vinegar will keep your cat away) 2. Use juice or lemon, lime, or orange diluted with some water can be sprayed on the leaves to keep a feline invasion from happening

    Thank you! Will the vinegar impact the plants at all? I know my plants are sensitive to lime so I’ll probably avoid that, but the vinegar solution sounds interesting.

      The vinegar could lower the pH of the soil so maybe sticking the cotton ball on a toothpick then into the soil so the vinegar isn’t touching the soil? I’ve tried citrus and vinegar, and unfortunately neither seemed to bother my cats in the slightest, so all my plants are on shelves or in my glass cabinet.
