hi i have an infestation:/ ive dried out my plants, ive set every trap you can think of and they just won’t stop spreading. does anybody have any advice or suggestions, anything helps thank you so much! pics bc idk what bugs they are

    Mosquito bits work wonders for killing any larvae in the soil

      I’m treating my collection with mosquito bits water right now. It’s a process but I’m already seeing a difference! 👍🏼

    It might be a trick of the camera, but they look bigger than fungus gnats to me 🤔 Maybe they’re coming from somewhere other than your plants. Do you have anywhere near or in your house with standing water or maybe composting material?

      they’re super small i think it’s just the camera but i live in an apartment i dont think there’s any standing water besides the drainage pans for my plants that could be why

      Oh okay, well in that case, PlantLady’s suggestion for mosquito bits worked for me too for fungus gnats. Alternatively, some people swear by adding a little hydrogen peroxide while watering plants. I would also make sure water isn’t sitting in the drainage pans for too long, just in case

    Repot/change out all the soil. That’s the only thing that fixed my problem. Sticky traps only do so much, and don’t prevent them breeding.

    Peroxide the soil. Then after everything dries you can put mosquito bits or a gravel or pon top dressing so they don’t have any nice nesting spots in the pot
