Guilty… Wondering if cat grass would help- but my only issue is the fact that I am positively reinforcing my cats to eat a plant.. I am confused. If I allow my cat to eat cat grass- a plant- how exactly will it help? Just curious… It is a very difficult job to keep my cats on the right trail; the trail that leads away to my plants. Thanks!
It’s a little like, if you want your cat not to claw the furniture, you put a scratcher near the furniture he likes and when he scratches the furniture, you go, hey, you wanna scratch, scratch this. Similarly with cat grass, you put it near the other plants and when he nibbles those you gently show him the plant you don’t mind him nibbling. Does it work? Wellllll…sometimes. Eventually.

I got cat grass in a desperate effort to stop my cat from eating my majesty palm tree and he doesn’t care about the cat grass AT ALL. Literally won’t touch it. Hopefully you’ll have better luck!

I never got any cat grass but I’m pretty sure my cats would not care at all

My cats don’t often munch my plants but when I grew cat grass for enrichment it also crossed my mind would I set a trend for sampling other plants, but thankfully so far they haven’t and have just enjoyed the cat grass itself.
