Recommendations for your favorite pet safe plants? Here are a few of mine! I’m a little discouraged on my plant journey because a lot of the ones I wish I could have aren’t pet safe. Please give me some fun ideas!

    Several of the “not pet safe” plants are extremely unlikely to cause significant harm. Many may cause a “taste reaction” after chewing, and others lead to puking after eating the plant but that’s the extent of it. So if there’s a plant you have your heart set on it may be worth investigating what kind of toxicity it tends to have for pets.

      I really appreciate this. I do have a cat who is a leaf chewer but she’s definitely one to be deterred if something seems off.

    • The holiday cactuses (I believe all three are pet safe) • Hoyas • Air plants • African Violets & Primulinas (double check me on these but I’m 90% certain they are pet safe)
