I need advice on how to keep my dogs from eating the dirt out of my plants. They don’t eat the plants they tear those out and just eat the dirt.

    My dog doesn't like strong smells like cleaning acholol or strong scents maybe try that?

    Can you put them higher out of reach? Or maybe fence around that area. Those are two cute faces that have zero regrets!

      Yes I am thinking I am going to need a fence and want that to be my last resort 😂 Currently everything is moved. I have tried a doggy safe biter spray which seems to work for a day or two until I think it wears off. lol they are so determined

    Are they fan’s of cinnamon? You can put a dusting on the top of your soil, it won’t hurt your plants, and it might be a good deterrent? If they’re really savy, they can still pull the plant out and eat from below. But maybe the smell will be enough to stop them? And I would assume if they tasted a bit while trying to get the plant out they wouldn’t like it.

    try bitter spray! most pet stores should have one, maybe spray the surface of the soil? they are pet & plant safe, just extremely bitter. trust me, i got a little in my mouth once đŸ€ą maybe spraying the surface of all the soil & plants will be enough to deter them.
