Hey! Anybody got any advice on what I do when my plant starts to get dying leafs? And how I care for it after they start to die do I cut them short or leave them to fall? Any help would be great as I love her don’t want her to dieeee!

I got this Anthurium from the clearance section of a local plant shop. It has a few spots and they cut some of its leaves, but otherwise it seems okay. I have two questions: - When I took it out of the nursery pot, it had a lot of shrivelled, black roots (that I cut off). Do you think the nursery overwatered it? If not, do you think a pest or something else caused the discoloured spots? - Do you know what kind of strap leaf anthurium this is? All of its leaves seem to have different shapes so I’ve been having trouble deciding which one it is.

This was a lovely housewarming gift—the tag that came in the pot was not particularly informative!😂 Anyone have any idea what varietal I have here? Anthuriums are new to me—I have pothos and jade galore, and a bromeliad, a Christmas cactus, a geranium, and a couple of other plants, but, until now, no anthurium. Also, tips for keeping her this lush and healthy would be greatly appreciated!

hello! i am not new to plants but am not yet an anthurium girlie. i have one so far, a lux, & i’m looking to get more into anthurium. i was wondering which y’all recommend for a beginner? i want to get one of the regular looking veiny ones & want to stick with a non-hybrid so i can slowly start to get to know all the main species’ characteristics. don’t be mad i’m saying this but they all kind of look the same to me lol but i’m willing to learn. is there an option from these choices that is not terribly fussy & doesn’t get damaged too easily? 😆 - a. crystallinum - a. forgetii - a. magnificum - a. clarinervium i’m also gonna get a strappy one! either the vittariifolim or a wendlingeri 😁 thank you!

Does anyone know why anthurium leaves are getting these yellow/brown spots on the edges, some in the center? It has been healthy all year, popping out big leaves, and generally haven’t had any issues until now. I’d appreciate any ideas, advice so I can fix it before it spreads. Thank you!! 💚

Eeeee. First 2 anthurium. Let’s see how they acclimate! Got my queen for a steal due to the damage! An unknown cross which I find very excited because that leaf is sick. And the amydrium zippelianum for funsies 😻
