    It looks like too much of the plant is covered in soil. Can you dig down to just above the roots? See how the base is doing under there

      And then what? I’m kinda new to the plant thing

      If the base of the plant is squishy and smelly, it’s too late unfortunately. If it seems okay though, leave it with that part uncovered
