I was thinking about getting an antherium, any type I should get or any tips? TIA! (btw, who else is obsessed with CHANEL by Tyla??? I swear it's so good-)

    After unaliving so many alocasias , I started buying anthuriums in place of alocasias and now I have almost as many anthuriums. My favorites are the strappy leaved ones like wendlingerii, fredrichstalli, and vittarifolium. But for easy starters I would go with an anthurium papillaliminum or crystalinum. Good luck in your anthurium addiction….. I mean affection lol

      Trust me, I need all the help I can get... I kill ever succulent I touch (except for a few) and I somehow nearly ruined a pothos 💀😭

    Anthuriums LOVE humidity, especially seedlings , so put them in a small dome or Tupperware container until they get bigger.

      Ah! Noted. I also mist my plants (probably a lot more than I should) so I should be alr with a humidity tray :)

    Some anthuriums are significantly easier than others. Here are some beginner friendly options Long and strappy: palladiflorum or pendulifolium (depending on what look you want). Texture: rad x lux, king (veitchii wide or narrow form). For research, look up bullatae anthuriums. Veining: clarinervum, magnificum, crystallinum Unique shape: peditoradiatum Dark and velvety: hybrids. Hybrids. Please, hybrids 😂 MDB x BVEP (Marshellini Dad Bod x Black Velvet Eastern Panama) is probably one of my easiest and fairly fast growing dark velvet anthuriums. FSRL is a good one too. Please do not go with any pure species. They are a pain in the butt and far less forgiving. My blue pap clone has been a stump for a month from my mistakes. Coming from someone who keeps all her picky anthuriums in a greenhouse/controlled environment and my pures are STILL HARD. (I’m crying inside about that one). My trusted sellers: - Rooted Rarities Stupid good deals from them on Palmstreet but they also have a website or Etsy. They do 2 day shipping with overnight option and back their plants up. - DreadRot on Palmstreet has cool hybrids but they aren’t the best prices. Ie, paying $150 for a $400 plant is a good deal but it’s still expensive lol - PlantyWeeb All plants I’ve received from those sellers have come in near perfect condition, pest-free, fast shipping, etc.
