Hello my fellow “spending my pay check on extremely expensive anthurium” people, what’s ur most expensive/fav anthurium right now? It’s a competition but as of now I think it’s gonna be my anthurium “dark phoenix” spend 200 on this bad boy, puts out a beautiful big leaf every month :>
I always buy small ones, most were around $15. My most expensive one was $40. But I see anthurium in the $100-150 range that are so tempting. Maybe one day lol

This is me on any regular day. Mostly because I’ve found if I buy them small they have a better chance of acclimating to MY environment.

I want a dark phoenix so bad! I just made a post about how I might try to find one for my birthday later this year lol. I’m still new to anthuriums so I’ve only really purchased starters and seedlings. My most expensive seedling was around $30 which was a Magnificum x Luxurians and it’s probably my favorite right now. I just love the texture on it, but it’s still a baby.
1 like My advice to you is to just gradually follow anthurium related accounts on insta/facebook, that’s how I found mine :)

1 like It’s honestly just stems down to consistency and getting used to the watering regimen. I pretty much, provide 12 hrs of light, I don’t use humidifiers or anything, but I do use cabinets to trap a relative humidity of 70-80, these guys will do fine in ambient tho. For watering I use the generic clear tower pots, I feed with every water and clean the leaves every so often. That’s pretty much it :)
