   When figuring out root bound vs not, you want to look at the roots to soil ratio. For most plants if you see 50% or more roots to soil ratio it’s time to upsize. Some like to be super root bound (like snake plants) some like to be a little less. I don’t have Anthuriums, so I can’t speak to those specifically. But other signs you want to look for would be new growth getting smaller, or lack of new growth all together, your plant drying out very quickly, and then of course the root:soil ratio. Based on your photo I would say your plant is not ready for a new home :)
