This was a lovely housewarming gift—the tag that came in the pot was not particularly informative!😂 Anyone have any idea what varietal I have here? Anthuriums are new to me—I have pothos and jade galore, and a bromeliad, a Christmas cactus, a geranium, and a couple of other plants, but, until now, no anthurium. Also, tips for keeping her this lush and healthy would be greatly appreciated!
Flamingo lily. I can’t spell the anthurium name that’ll pull it up though 😂

Anthuriums (as aroids) like airy soil that’s also retains moisture, I’d recommend coconut fibres, some clay balls, pine bark and perlite, they like a good fertiliser feed every water, I give mine nurture system 1. They also like humidity but can acclimate to household conditions. They only produce one petal and the green thing at the centre of the petal is called an inflorescence. I would also recommend putting it in a clear pot, and then into an outer pot, (glazed ones are my fav) the clear pot allows you to keep an eye on the roots.
좋아요 1개 Thank you! That’s a lot of really helpful information. Where do you find clear inner pots? My inner pots are mostly reused nursery pots that some other plant has outgrown, but none of those are clear!
