   1. I think they like to stay wet 2. Lots of light. 3. Maybe likes to be a little tighter in their pots. This plant hadn't bloomed in a very long time... the first bloom I got she was sitting in my west kitchen window and I bottom watered it, often. Like any time I noticed it had drank everything up. And it gave me one flower. Then I separated the two plants (took out a nursery plug) and put them both in 6in terracotta pots, regular potting soil, and I bottom water the same way. This one was in a south window over winter and the other stayed in the west kitchen window. They both have blooms now. So if you're counting that three blooms over almost three years of care. And I use diluted houseplant fertilizer in my watering can. Just like throw a dash in there every time but since these plants are both in spots where I am frequenting drinking water I will also just empty my old glasses of water into it to keep it moist. I do plan on repotting the one pictured into a deeper pot to cover the exposed roots. I will not be putting this plant outside this summer. It literally melted last year in the extreme July heat. Luckily I caught it soon enough and brought inside to cool off and recover. I also tried to go up in pot size last summer but it didn't like it and that's how they got separated and down potted.
