Beginner Anthurium owne: Won this lil guy in a giveaway on PalmStreet, not sure what it is, but it’s been dropping leaves. Browning/ yellowing around the edges then slowly dying off, but the new growth looks fine. I consulted Chat GPT & it suggested the media is old (Leca on the bottom, perlite, then sphagnum moss). It’s spent about 7 months in this container and algae has taken over now, it’s no-drainage except for this crack on the side and I’ve noticed it’s getting drier much quicker lately. It’s treated with systemic bonide pesticide granules, as well as captain jacks deadbug powder, so not sure it’s pest related. I have another rainbow Bess close by and it’s doing just fine so I’m fairly certain it’s container/ old media related, just wanted to double check what the pros think of this 😂💕 thank you all in advance!
