Good morning. A very recently purchased plant I believe is in a too small pot. However, I’m wondering how large a pot it should be. I think I overwatered it as well as I’ve only had it for a couple of weeks but the soil is still wet, not drying out and now I have yellowing leaves. Please advise I’m new to this. Thank you.
So that’s an anthurium, and from what I can see that pot seems fine, however if it’s just in a general potting mix it’s gonna die, anthurium like their roots to be constantly moist but they don’t like to drowned, that’s why they like a soil that’s moisture retentive and airy, I’d suggest checking the roots for rot and if you can buy some coco coir, perlite and pine bark and mix that together and you have a good aroid mix in general, if the roots are rotten, cut them off if all of them are rotten do the same thing but place the the plant in a small pot with drainage and sphagnum moss and with hope it should root again, I did this with my anthurium luxurian that lost all of its roots and after a month it grew back stronger. Also cut off any yellow leaves as they are just taking energy, good luck! Post again if anything happens :)

0件のいいね I think there’s probably more than just potting soil in here. I got it directly from a nursery about a week ago. The roots are fairly damp.
Should I repot it now or should I wait for for spring?
0件のいいね Give it a week so it accumulates, it could be trying to adjust to the new environment, anthuriums like humidity and heat so if it’s lacking that it could be wilting a little
