Starting to experiment with tree fern, plus semi hydro, I’ve put my DP in semi hydro, as it was already in a semi hydro set up. And imma be putting my more finicky anthuriums in tree fern to see how they like it 🫶

    Hi:) I have been moving all of my anthuriums to a tree fern/aroid soil mix and they have loved it! I have a bin of tree fern amended with perlite, and a bin of aroid mix - soil, perlite, bark…I mix these 50/50. Seedlings grow amazingly well in just tree fern and perlite 😊

      Awesome!! I’m trying tree fern out with perlite, pine bark, charcoal pellets and worm castings as of right now!!

      Also! I’ve got a question, I have two 2 leaved velvet verde x pap seedlings in sphagnum right now, should I move them out of it into the tree fern/perlite mix?

      I think that would be up to you…I personally really don’t like moss-I struggle to understand how to water it. I also hate picking moss off fragile roots. I have been very happy with my decision to put my tiny babies in tree fern. I also keep these a bit wetter…I use a double cup-little leca in the bottom, and keep a bit of water in that all the time.
