My anthurium has put out 3 new leaves in the last month and I’m excited to repot it this weekend! What other big leaf anthuriums should I look into getting? Not a huge fan of ones that flower regularly FYI.

    3 in one month?! 😱 That’s amazing!! I would hold off on repotting personally. I have a small lux I’m enjoying. Queen is on my wishlist. Superbum is fun (and so is the name lol). I’m also hoping to get one of the strap leaf types at some point. I’ve noticed veitchii starters are getting super affordable from larger sellers lately

      You think I should hold off? The person I got it from said it hasn’t been repotting since early summer 2023, and I can feel roots going around the edges of the pot with my fingers a few inches down in the soil. Should I just let it continue to grow this summer since it’s putting out so much growth? All of these look super cool and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for them! The Queen in particular is high drama which I love 💅🏻

      I find that repotting frequently slows down growth for my plants. Like, my monstera will absolutely burst a pot in a matter of months, but it still stops putting out new leaves for a while after a repot. But it’s up to you! I also find that having a lot more soil than roots in a pot can cause it to stay wet too long and possibly rot. If you do repot, I would put it in much bigger of a pot for that reason
