Can we just talk about this plant for a minute? I purchased it under the assumption that it was an orchid cactus. I’ve had him about a year. I was also under the assumption that they “trailed.” All the pics of orchid cactus I’ve ever seen trailed. Then there’s this guy. He either is not an orchid cactus OR he is living his best chaotic life. Thoughts?! Advice? Should I cut him? He’s kind of getting on my nerves.

Are these healthy roots? It seemed to be drying out quickly so I added moss a couple weeks ago. I live in a dry climate

Was going to do some needed root clean up and noticed this growing off of one end of a root and two other roots are starting to bud small white dots as well. Does anyone know what this is? I can’t tell if it’s new growth or some time of fungus I should be concerned about. Thank you in advance!!

I am in the journey of reviving my orchid, which I purchased at thd last year. It originally came on soil and after the flowers died it started decaying with them. I cleaned it, cut the rotten roots and put it on water for a couple of months. Finally I cut off remaining rotten roots and recently repotted it here with orchid bark. I am hoping to heal it back to peak health but I am doing it blindly. Any advice?

I just got this vanilla bean orchid today… her name is Mrs. Bean!! Anybody have any ideas on keeping it alive and how to unravel it without breaking it?.. also, I need pointers or an Amazon link on what type of pole to get for her to climb on😅😇

My Paph Maudiae is blooming. Two years in a row 😊😊. It started to grow the flower spike in early March and now the flower is open. The top petal isn’t erect and I’m not sure why. Oh well. Still, I’m glad it bloomed again. 😍 Sorry pics aren’t the greatest

Hi guys! I was given two sad orchids, i’m trying to nurse them back to life!! I have repotted both of them in clear, plastic nursery pots with lots of drainage holes and filed them with orchid bark. Any advice helps! UPDATE! My dendronium has a new shoot!!! (third photo) Unfortunately my Moth orchid has had no progress :(

Here is grace, she’s doing great. She lost a few leaves is that normal or not.

My orchid has died and this is what it looks like. I would like some advice on how to bring it back to life. I do water it, but I would like to know what else can I do?

My moth orchid blooms are starting to droop. I’ve had her for 3 weeks, is it just time to lose the blooms and start over? And if so, when should I expect new blooms? I’m a novice at plants and with the chunky orchid mix, I can’t check for watering issues like my other plants.

Does anyone know why this flower is so much darker and larger than the rest of them? It was the last to bloom, opening at least a month after the rest of them. The plant itself seems healthy with firm and growing roots and leaves.

the dancing lady orchid i got on Valentine's day has took a turn for the worstt. my cat was intent on biting the leaves, so i moved her to the greenhouse. i also repotted her, but i put her in kokedama. full disclosure: past attempts at kokedama with other plants FAILED but i figured i would try it with this orchid bc the plant store guy made such beautiful ones lol i'm definitely regreting my decision and wish i just placed her in a normal clear pot. i cut off some leaves that i didn't like, but she still looks so depressed. any recommendations? could this be transplant shock? stress from cat eating her? does she hate the kokedama? i'm more familiar with the phalaenopsis so getting the oncidium was definitely out of my comfort zone.

Just sharing pics of my Oncidium ‘Lemon Heart’. I bought the plant in February with a flower spike that was starting to grow and now it’s finally matured and starting to bloom. The flower spike is really tall and unfortunately I accidentally broke a couple trying to move the plant. Bright all yellow flowers. No fragrance.
