🤩🤩😀!! It’s finally flowering. I brought this moth orchid back to life after bad root rot in November. It’s currently growing 4 new roots visible on the surface too which is really exciting and encouraging.

Hi guys, this is currently my orchid, flowers and leaves fell off a while ago. Never had orchids before, what’s the next step in care? Do they have a time when they don’t flower? Do I need to trim to encourage growth etc. tia x
This was my beautiful little orchid that wilted the way after being gone for two weeks and having a family member, take care of it came back to all the flowers falling off, and all the leaves broke off as well. The leafs were still on the stem when I got back the first day, but after just touching them briefly they just fell off. I ended up replanting it and adding the moss to fill in the space so that the wet wood stuff that the roots were already in, could soak up the moisture and help the roots grow when I came back everything looked like it was dying but when I pulled the root cup out of the pot, there were still a lot of green roots, so that’s why I replanted it. A new orchid could sprout.
Oooooooo, so excited! The Fredclarkeara After Dark ‘Black Pearl’ and Dendrobium aggregatum are both waking up… finally. Now let’s see if I can get the kiddos happy enough to bloom next year 🤞
Update on my decimated cattleya roots. It’s been about 3-4 weeks and it was time to go back in and see if any of the old roots survived. I had done a pretty thorough job of just cutting away the roots I damaged when repotting as they were CEMENTED to the media. I trimmed away some odds and ends this morning, but I was pleasantly surprised that I had some firm still viable older roots. Hoping they stay that way as I don’t plan on going back in again, unless in a month I smell anything to indicate I have a mess of decay happening. But they seem ok, so I’m hopeful. PLUS! See all the new little root tips coming in? Hooray! The plant will survive. Phew. Now I’m crossing my fingers that it’s not severely set back.
Hello, I have this orchid that I got a year ago. It’s been repotted twice, but the first time it was repotted(a couple months after I got it) it was in sphagnum moss which caused a lot of root rot and issues with too much water such as yellowing leaves. So, I repotted it a couple weeks ago. When I repotted it most recently, basically all of the roots were rotted due to the excess water in the sphagnum moss it was sitting in. When I repotted, I didn’t cut any of them off- I only pulled off the rot and left the wires of the roots behind. So now all of the roots are just wires and it is now in orchid potting mix with rocks for drainage at the bottom. I accidentally left it outdoors in direct sunlight for a couple days, and now my leaves are turning brownish? Is this because of dehydration? It also may have rained recently while the plant was outside so I’m not sure if it was also getting water then. I just now watered it. If anyone has advice please let me know!
Hey there! Does anyone know what this things is underneath my leaf? Is it a new leaf coming in? Or is it anything bad? Any help would be appreciated!
What’s wrong with my orchid? It only has two blooms and one looks like it’s dying. The other stem without blooms was also severely wilted and looked dead. I only water it according to the recommended schedule on planta.

why is my vanilla bean orchid new leaf turning brown and can i use tap water to water it and what soil should i use for it
I have this large orchid that seems to be in good health, but one of the leaves is slowly turning yellow and shriveling: what should I do? Should I leave it to do its own thing or pluck it off?
I had to perform a little surgery on this moth orchid about a week ago and she was doing okay. Her roots were extremely damaged and I ended up cutting a few off and just chopped the flower stem down, then repotted her into a bigger pot with proper orchid mix. I took her down from my shelf just now and noticed this leaf, there also seems to be a tiny fly hanging around her (gnat?) This is my first time properly caring for plants and I would love any insight! Thank you so much :)
Help please… why this dendrobium has yellow leaves? Is it normal?.. I don’t have experience with this orchid…
Hey guys my orchid that I have had for awhile just died. I am going to get a new one any tips or tricks to keep them super healthy. I have bought orchid moss. Best way to use that?
I have this orchid I was given as a gift about 3 years ago and I’ve neglected it I guess you could say but I want to change that!! I love orchids and want to get several more. First anyone able to tell which breed this is off the leaves and is this a good time to repot it? Any and all suggestions welcome! Also I’d love to take in orchids to my office but I have no windows. Would I be able to have one in the office with a grow light? If not- any suggestions for plants that do well under a grow light? Preferably something that blooms. And - when do orchids typically bloom and when are they dormant? TIA! 🌺🌱☺️

Hey! so im pretty new to orchids and i bought one since i knew they were low maintenance ish and this is her.. i noticed before i repotted her that some roots were brownish and the reason i did repot was her roots were up out of the soil. is there anything im doing wrong or any suggestions to make sure she thrives, shes 2ft and has a 1ft pot in diameter with orchid potting soil. any suggestions would be really helpful and appropriate - also is she a moth orchid?
