I purchased these two orchids at a discount for rescue. I decided to plant them on a piece of driftwood to simulate their natural environment. I'm hoping to help them grow and flower. Any recommendations? Have you tried it before?

Been in in bloom for a week. It’s the first flower ever. Been with me for a few years. LC. Mari’s Love Taka
Hi I was just given this orchid and not entirely sure what to do….can I get some advice. It came with a tag and each plant is in individual pots (as seen in photo). Also it’s in a south facing window (the app says part sun) and there is a west facing window (full sun) on the other wall about 15ft away.
My Phalaenopsis is being a weirdo. It has this growth coming out of the crown that I assume is a flower spike, but it it halfway stuck in the crown. I’ve waited weeks to see if it will sort itself out, but the loop just keeps getting bigger. I don’t want to pull on it, as it’s really in there and I’m scared I’ll break it. Anyone ever seen this weirdness? Should I just let it do its thang? Planted in 100% medium pine bark with frequent watering and sits in a window with lots of light. Recently getting over dehydration. I got this as a gift and have not had it bloom since last year’s flowers died off :(
Orchid bloom at a local plant nursery :)
Hello! First time orchid owner here - I’ve got two very yellow leaves, which are the oldest ones, and wondering what to do with them? The plant has recently grown nice green leaves and a few buds are coming in… any advice appreciated!
Does anybody know if Sphagnum moss or orchid bark is better for my orchid
Help! Why is the tip of my orchid stalk drying it was doing so good for the longest and now it’s drying out?
I’ve had this orchid for probably 8 years, and think I’m all that time it sprouted a new stem with buds once. It continues to push out new leaves and roots. I’ve let the roots grow over and out the plastic pot, but I’m wondering if I should put them into the bark. Wondering how I can get this bad boy to flower again.
I just got this orchid on clearance and the leaves look like this. I was wondering if it will be ok
Tips on repotting my orchid? She’s been in the same 4” pot for several years and I’m sure it’s time to repot. Other than that, I’m brand new to this orchid business. TIA for any suggestions. Regards, 🤗💚🪴
OK, now that my orchid has bloomed, and the flowers have passed away, 😂, what do I do at this point? I know she needs to be repotted, since that hasn’t been done in years, but do I cut the old stems off at the base or what? I’ve never done an orchid before, so I’m unfamiliar with what happens next. TIA for any answers. Regards, 🤗💚🪴
Well and truly loving her second bloom 🤍
Any tips?
I got this orchid May 31st and it’s still alive and healthy as far as I can tell. This app doesn’t have it in the system- so I suggested it be added. I wanted to ask if any of you have advice or tips regarding watering, placement, fertilizing etc. This is an Oncostele Catatante x Oncidium Barossa Delight, or Wilsonara Eye Candy ‘Pinkie’. Correct me if I’m wrong lol. The photos go from when I got it pre bloom, bloomed and to now- post blooms. The stalk post bloom is really long but since the base is still green I’ve just left it alone. I should also mention I’ve not repotted either.
Hello everyone. I purchased my first Orchid today. Unfortunately I did not see it had a sick leaf because the “bag” it came it was colorful and not translucent. Can you please help me fix this?
What to do about these roots? My lovely orchid is thriving for the first time in a few years. It’s grown three new leaves with another one on the way, and flowered (yay!). But the roots are growing out of the pot now. I’m worried if/when I have to repot, I’ll have to cut off these roots (or else they’ll break off). I use a mix of sphagnum moss and bark. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!
Returned after a 2 week trip in 2 different states with concern that all my orchids may have suffered without my attention. They clearly love their Auntie babysitter who looked in on them, because I was greeted with zygo blooms AND two growths on my mini mark. I *think* they are both spikes, but one was kinda giving Basel keiki vibes, so I’ll keep you posted. Either way… just a reminder that not all orchids are delicate and persnickety. Some varieties are super vigorous and resilient.
Hello! My orchid is healthy, is growing new leaves and has crazy aerial roots. It just started growing a new one. There’s nothing I want more than for it to bloom again but it’s been over a year. Any tips to promote bloom?
Hey there! I’m posting about 2 orchids here - are any of these spots/marks cause for concern? Thanks!
