I just got this Phalaenopsis Orchid as a gift yesterday and the leaves look like this? Should I trim them off or just leave them alone?
Tolumnias!!!! Just bought a bushel of these delightful mini orchids on Etsy. Evidently they are my orchid equivalent to Pringles. Canāt have just one. So much for the plant embargo. But I guess itās better than stress eatingā¦
alright orchid experts, Iām joining the group because although Iāve never had an orchid nor do I have any knowledge, I just got this one for $5 (iām assuming because the blooms fell or were knocked off) any and all suggestions are appreciated š„°
Hey yāall! I have a question. Do yāall know how often the Sogo Lawerence moth orchid get keikeis? Because I would like to have another Sogo. I think sheās almost done flowering. Some of her precious blooms fell off a few days ago. Thanks in advance!
Just repotted a couple weeks ago with āBetter-Groā special Orchid potting mix, and fertilized with āBetter-Groā Orchid Better-Bloom. Leaves feel leathery and as you can see the bottom ones sagging/yellowing. This window is facing north and weāre in an apartment complex so it isnāt getting hit directly from the sun. Is there anything wrong or something different I may do to help?

So I just repotted my orchid and I waited a week before watering except when it came time to water it I checked it and its roots look liked THIS: The tip seems blackened and shriveled. I took this after watering. Should I cut off the tip or just wait and it might improve a bit since I watered it?
I need some help with this orchid. It has had one leaf for a while; however, some root development has occurred over the last year. I am not sure what to do to help it. Any suggestions? It currently sits in a west facing window.
Update : I had the roots in a little bit of water but I donāt think thatās working. What should I do? Should I put it back in orchid bark?
I went to a fabulous orchid show today! Iāve been interested in learning more about orchids, since most of my knowledge and collection is in the aroids group. I got my first unusual orchid! Itās a Dendrobium cucumerinum, or as Iām already affectionately calling it: my pickle orchid šš„°š
First post! Wanted to share my orchidarium set up. I have sherry berry oncidiums, genting rose dendrobium, bulbophyllum cocoinum, cattleya and a little moth orchid :3
Hi quick question Where should you cut your orchid stem after itās done flowering?
Hello, Iām a complete orchid newbie. Does anyone know what kind of orchid this is? The flowers were a mottled yellow with purpleāvery pretty. Planta keeps saying itās some kind of moth orchid, but it doesnāt look like any Iāve seen. Also, does anyone know what those ānubsā at the bottom of the plant are? Thank you!
Paphiopedilum spicedrianum A lovely green flower with pink markings and a white flag. The flower looks different depending on the light so I included both photos. Yay!
I impulse bought an orchid vanda blue. Hanging with exposed roots. I have lots of house plants but no experience with these. Any tips to keep it healthy and flowering?
Ok last post here for a while (I feel like Iām jamming everyoneās feeds up a bit). Around 2-3 months ago, I repotted this orchid, I didnāt know much and wasnāt able to re pot it properly after realizing it had root rot. Itās planted way to big now so I want to invest in nice repot me pots and potting mix. Iām going to get the Phalaenopsis AAA gold imperial orchid potting mix. What I need help with is the slotted pot size. Iām bad with spacial sizing stuff, Iām think 4 inches or 3 . Please help me get this right! Thanks so much!
