Finally! Haven't seen her bloom in years 🥹🤩✨💖
So I have an orchid that really needs to be repotted but it still has its flowers. She can't even stand up straight bc she's so top heavy 😅 Her leaves are dying as well😰🫣 Should I repot her anyways, or wait? Idk what to do 😩
Just pruned my orchid, but my friend forgot to water it while I was out of town… How do I save her?
My little yellow orchid’s bud is blooming (on the right). Will the left stem grow bigger? I’m new to orchids.
Please help! I’ve had this orchid for around 1.5 months now, and as you can see one of the orchids is really doing well but the other (the left one) is dying. I bought it at the supermarket and was using ice cubes, but YouTube said not to so I’m not. I just watered it the right way today but I need help on reviving the orchid on the left that’s wilted and sad. The green roots have gotten thicker because of today’s watering but the wilted roots are still not in great condition. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Two new roots and a baby leaf! She’s my first orchid and I almost lost her because I made a lot of rookie mistakes. But she’s growing now! 🥹
Help please! This is my first Orchid and i’m still not to sure how to take care of her😖, I figured out that I was under watering her so she has a long journey of recovery!! But i’m not sure if i’m supposed to cut the yellow leaves off or leave them as is.
Picked up a 3 foot tall gram. scriptum at the garden center today, I’m obsessed 😍
My Ludisia Discolor Jewel orchid finally popped her popcorn kernels! Was fun to watch! Really did look like popcorn right before opening blooms! Lol.
This is Ophelia my first of many orchids. She has survived a fungus (because I forgot to get water out of her crown), she has survived her leaves being burnt ( because I put her in full sun ) and the loss of her first flower spike ( because I accidentally over fertilized and over misted the flowers) I would like to thank her for growing her new leaf and for surviving my learning how to care for her. 🎉
Can I use neem to clean my orchid leaves?
I purchased 3 cattleya orchids and decided they needed repotted in new bark/orchid mix. While repotting I wondered, do these roots look ok? Much different from the phalaenopsis orchids I am used to growing. Also I noticed the dark edge of the middle leaf. Is this an infection? Is it treatable. Thanks for any help with this.
Orchid is doing so much better in water it had pests eating its roots when it was in orchid bark. Only one little root survived.
How often do you water an orchid that’s in bark and moss?
Hey y’all! I need some help. Is my orchid ready to be repotted or not? If so do y’all have a brand or type of potting mix in mind?
This poor lady hasn’t bloomed in over a year. I’ve tried everything that I’ve read to do. Her roots are not green at all, underneath. She’s now in bark with a little moss wrapped around her roots. Any tips?
I inherited an orchid from my mom two years ago and it finally bloomed back in April. Sadly after leaving it in my hot apartment for a long weekend, all the petals dropped. I’m trying to nurse it back to health and have no idea where to start - should I repot it? What should I do with all the visible roots? Please help! - Aspiring botanist
I accidentally knocked off my orchid’s first rebirth of its stem 😭 what should I do? Can I propagate? Please help because I want her to thrive 🥺
Okay orchid lovers. I know phals are our pals but what other types of orchids are you in to? The photo is my Brassolaelia Richard Mueller x Cattleya Triumphans.
I forgot to water my orchid for 5 weeks! I got it from a store and it say to put 3 ice cubes in a week. I quickly but 3 ice cubes in. What should I do now?
