I love walking into my laundry room and seeing a new bloom :)
My sister was given this orchid and it doesnât look to be in too good of shape. The roots seem to be rotten and the leaves are wrinkly and turning yellow. I am not sure where to start in helping this orchid out. Please help.
Hi! My friend recently got an orchid, and was having some issues so I wanted to post on here and ask if anyone knows what to do. The orchid is pretty new, and continuing to flower, but some of the tiny buds are turning yellow and the leaves are getting droopy. Does it just need to be watered? Thanks for the help!
Hello everyone! My beautiful phaleanopsis has finished blooming and is currently potted in a sphagnum moss mix. I think it's a good time to repot my orchid, but i was wondering if trimming the two tall stems is necessary to promote new flower growth? Also, i am wondering if it is safe to repot her while in winterđ€ i do have grow light that i use for my bonsai, so i was planning on sharing that light with both plants...would that help? Thanks for the advice! đ
Hello everyoneđ (new parent over here) I received this beautiful as a gift on last October, this is my first orchid in my life and itâs been doing pretty good, sadly after Christmas it accidentally fell down from my plant stand and it broke some flowers (it had 9 blooms before and now Iâm left with 2 of them) I really donât know what to do, if I have to do something about it or just wait? Please any advice or suggestions will be appreciated đ Thank you! This is the before/after pictures
I received this as a gift and know nothing about orchids. It looks like it needs to be repotted (roots are growing out of the pot). Is it safe to do so now? How do I go about the process? Any help is appreciated!!
Phalaenopsis âP. Long Pride Pure Dancer I love this time of year!
Hi everyone! Iâm here to boast a lil and Iâm sorry đ But for the first time in my life, I havenât killed an orchid. I was worried because three leaves had fallen off when I was first gifted it! I have since gotten a grow light and no more leaves have fallen. I also have a new flower coming! Iâm so happy!
This is my first orchid. Do I trim off the brown part of the stem? What about the new growth with the bloom? Will I need to somehow support this? Thank you
Iâm back two weeks later with this little guy, no mites were found! The leaves havenât change at all so Iâm assuming itâs old cold damage possibly. Itâs been doing well and some more of its flowers are starting to drop. I just watered it today and it finally has a place with my other plants!
One of the buds on my orchid died before blooming, does anyone know why this might have happened?
Hi! My phalaenopsis orchid lost all of its roots due to root rot and all I was left with was the crown. Iâm not sure if this can be propagated since Iâve looked online and I didnât find anything. Iâm not sure what to do please help :(
Weâre blooming!đ
New orchid blooms â€ïž
Iâm just joining this group and wanted to share the newest addition to my orchid collection. It is a Dendrobium nobile and it smells amazing.
My friends orchid hasnât flowered in 2 years. The leaves seem healthy and she just repotted. It was in moss and now sheâs in orchid potting mix. She waters it every 28 days. Any help is appreciated!
Hello! I recently received this plant as a gift from a friend and Iâm not completely sure what to do with it. This is my first plant and I was told it needed some TLC but I would really appreciate some tips to get her healthy again. Her name is Celeste! Thank youđ©·đ
I moved a clip and foolishly and accidentally put it on wrong and it bit into a nice new spike that has lots of growth. Will those bite marks stunt the amazing growth thatâs coming in (itâs the left spike in the photo)?
saw this one in Italy and it broke my heart not being able to bring it with me đą anyone knows if you can find it in UK?
Help please! I revived this orchid my mom got from Whole Foods. I finally bought a new pot and orchid potting mix so I would be able to re pot it out of moss. I read that I should wait to repot after it flowers and so thatâs what Iâm going to do because it rarely flowers and Iâm so excited. I just noticed this fuzzy stuff on the roots and brown/black spots. Iâm worried. Please let me know what I should do about the roots and any other orchid tips. Advice is so appreciated.
