Pretty new to the Orchid community, but I’ve had this one for about 8 months, around month 3 or 4, all of the flowers slowly fell off. Everything I’ve read said to trim down the stem and just wait for re-bloom… My question is how long does re-blooming usually take? (Pictures are 6 months ago vs now) (I trimmed the stem about 2 months ago and it’s grown 2 inches since.)

I bought this beautiful fragrant “pansy” orchid in June. It’s labeled Miltonia. But I cant find any online which look exactly like it. Planta also wont identify it correctly. Can anyone confirm if it is a Miltonia and what sort of environment it needs to thrive? It also now has some black spots on leaves and bulb. Is that too much light or mold? Thanks!

Anyone know how to identity what “buds” are viable and where I should cut my losses.

I bought my first ever Orchid today 😊 I am not the greatest at all with keeping plants alive so I am hoping this app with help greatly! Is there a fertilizer that is highly recommended, the app recommends that I do fertilize it in 13 days?

Key Lime Stars. What a very strong and vigorous grower! Absolutely zero set-back since I brought her home last September. Two directions of growth. And GUYS!!! not one, but TWO little sheaths with buds forming inside. I know it’s more fun to see the flowers, but it’s cool to see how other types of orchids begin to flower if you’re just used to a phalaenopsis flower spike. Plus, I am just so excited to see what’s coming, and happy that it looks like it’s going to bloom for the first time in my care.

Ok y’all I did it. We repotted. Wish us luck. I didn’t realize it was in ALL moss, I thought there was bark in there too! Boy was I wrong 😬

I have a thing for yellow flowers. I don’t know why I am just now realizing that.

So I’ve read that the orchid needs to be reported when the media is broken down, but how do I k ow when it is broken down? I bought this amazing orchid for $5.00(what a deal!), and I’m thinking about repotting it soon, but how do I k ow if it needs repotting or not? (I used flash for the second pic because it was too dark)

Question to those of you who have dendrobium experience… I live in the Midwest, and have heard that they need higher temps and more light than even say, cattleyas. Would I struggle to get them to bloom in my regular 68-70 degree home environment?

Any suggestions? Is there a way to re propagate it? The last leaf broke off but the roots still look a little alive. I sprayed it with fungicide.

My poor orchid is struggling! I love the color and I want to save it! I lost another leave today! What do I do? I just watered it and I also checked the roots and repotted it recently. Help!!

For such tiny flowers, the Oncidium Gold Dust pumps out the loveliest fragrance. Such a joy to have it at my desk.

Hello my orchid is sick. I’ve had it for almost a year and it’s been fine until recently. I think she may have been slightly overwatered. I took a look at the roots and some seem a little “squishy” but many seem very healthy still. I’m afraid to repot, because last time I repotted an orchid, it died rather quickly after that. Thought and/or advice is welcome 💚

I have a cutting from an epidendrum radicans that I have placed in a small amount of water. Has it grown keikis? Should I remove them?
