Can anyone help me with this orchid? It had white flowers when I got it from Lowe’s hardware store it was dying. I first cut the flower stems to the first node under the last flower to see if it would reflower. It did not. So then I cut the stem’s off. The leaves have been limp since purchased approximately a month and a half ago. I did put cinnamon on the cut stems. I’ve given it fertilizer/ water when it gets dry. I’m afraid I’m loosing it. Please advise me!!!
It looks a bit dehydrated, what potting medium do you have it in? Have you repotted it since you brought it home? And can you see any roots? How do they look?
いいね 1件 Oops, I forgot to say I have repotted it and the air roots are missing. The roots are very small and thin.

0件のいいね She could just be adjusting to the new medium. Sometimes my orchids go through a phase where they look dehydrated. I just water whenever the roots are silver or the medium is dry and then once they ouch out new roots they stop looking dehydrated. I’d just be patient and be cause to not over water so as to not rot the roots and see what happens when she develops new roots 😄. Hope that makes sense ☺️

いいね 1件 One other thing. If the roots were squishy then they are rotted and dead. You want nice plump hard roots. They are happy and healthy. So if they are small and thin and smushy then they are not providing her with any water. So then just keep the medium slightly damp but not soaking so as not to rot her and then once she pushes out healthy roots she will be fine. She may not flower in you next flowering season due to the stress she’s gone through but as long as she has leaves even if they are leathery and wrinkly just be patient and let her do her thing ☺️
