Here’s my other orchid, the momma orchid. I’ve tried different mediums but finally found the right recipe of bark and watering. Her leaves have gotten bigger and stronger over time. Now she has a new stem coming out! I think it’s a new flower stem! I might have to get a stick in there to help guide it upwards. Oh, and a few new root buds poking out under the roots.

0개 좋아요Yep, it looks like a flower spike. Be aware that it will grow toward the brightest light source. So if you change the plant’s location, or even position, it will grow all squiggly. I tend to just train them with stakes and gentle clips. But spikes are very prone to snapping, so go slowly and be patient. Don’t force it.

Do not put it on steak yet. I tried to do that once it was that size and it snapped. No spike of flowers for me!😢
