hello! my orchid just lost all of its flowers today. got it about a month ago. what should i do to help it grow them back?

    Was it in full bloom when you received it? If so, it had probably already been in bloom for a while, so 4 weeks and then drop — that’s a normal bloom cycle. You can cut the spike back to the next node, fertilize weakly weekly and in a few months it’ll bloom again. However, if you rather prioritize the strength and health of the plant, cut the spike all the back to where it meets the crown, fertilize weakly weekly and next season it’ll push a new spike and bloom stronger

      Ok so cut down to the leaves? but not the leaves.

      Correct. It doesn’t have to be perfectly flat against the leaves or anything— just cut it down beyond the lowest node. That will tell the plant to focus on roots and vegetative growth and conserve energy for stronger next season’s bloom cycle
