It’s happening 😍 my first ever flower spike was exciting enough to see it grow after years of trying and trying….let alone seeing that it is blooming! Happy Spring 🙌🏼☺️

    How many years? I had an orchid lose blooms two years ago and NOTHING

      I received it as a gift August 2022. So about 2 1/2 yrs to grow another flower spike. But the container, lighting, fertilizing etc I’ve changed over the years as I learned more and more about orchids.

      Bark, perlite only, tiny bit of sphagnum moss on top to mist occasionally (or when app says so, this app helps to remind when to water…but I stopped soaking them in water, instead I use distilled room temp water, place orchids on a cookie sheet, water around the pot fully but once water spills out I stop, lift the pot let water drip out and place back. Also I use plastic containers w lots of holes for aeration and haven’t put them back in decorative pot (mainly due to space on window shelf) I use a liquid fertilizer when applying says to…and also, I ended my toxic relationship so my home had an increase of peaceful energy once he moved out
