I just got this Phalaenopsis Orchid as a gift yesterday and the leaves look like this? Should I trim them off or just leave them alone?

    This looks like old mechanical damage- not an ongoing problem, so cutting them would only open the leaf to infection, like a cut on your skin. If the discoloration was due to an active infection, spreading and growing… that would be another story. Just keep an eye on it for the next few days. If it stays the same, I’d leave it alone.
