Isn’t she a beauty? It looks like she has a leaf growing on a flower stalk - is that a thing? Will it become a keiki? Never had this before but I’m so excited to have some thriving orchids!

Beautiful. That’s an interesting growth for sure, I would keep an eye on it. I have never seen a keiki grow at the same time as flowers. Usually they come during vegetative growth time. But orchids are strange creatures, and you never can tell.

According to the internet (so it must be true, right?) I think the technical name for it is a “bract,” which is a leaf-like structure that covers the node on the flower spike. I see more on your other spikes, but that one just looks more pronounced.

Michelle’s HobbyJust keep an eye on it. If something comes out of it that would be great. But not a leaf.
