Hi! I recently got this orchid and watered it a week ago. One side is doing super well but the other side is starting to wilt so I put it under a grow light. Does anyone have any advice for why it may be wilting? And if the grow light set-up is okay? - only a few flowers are wilting but I’m afraid that all of them will wilt and fall off
A grow light will not prevent flowers from wilting if it is just at that stage and its cycle. No flowers bloom eternally. Phalaenopsis tend to stick around for quite some time, but if you only recently acquired this plant, you have no idea how long it was blooming in the shop/nursery. Chances are the rest of the flowers will slowly follow suit. The only thing I will add is that you should be sure that there is no cold or hot air blowing directly on the blooms. That can cause a sort of shock and make new flowers/buds shrivel.
