Hi quick question Where should you cut your orchid stem after it’s done flowering?
I cut mine right back to the bottom because I heard that doing this encourages bigger blooms next time? I haven’t read any proof of that though 😂

i would cut all way way back to the bottom, but you can also cut above the highest closed node, as a new stem can grow from there as well. plants with krystal on youtube has some videos on this, but do what you wish!

Both of the above techniques are perfectly fine for your orchid. I tend to cut down to the base as well. It gives the plant time to devote energy and nutrients to vital structures like leaves and roots. If you do get a second blooming from a cut higher up- (chances are about 50/50,) there will be less flowers and/or smaller blooms both this time, and the next time it flowers. Just isn’t worth it in my opinion.
