Loved Anastasiia’s post below showing her Oncidium Twinkle, and decided to share mine as well. I hesitate because this is her first blooming and I wasn’t really sure what to expect from it. It’s a ‘Gold’ 4N x sotoanum ‘Roy’, and looks like tiny little popcorn kernels. I don’t know if you can see from the second photo, but she has FIVE flower spikes. I am betting that the buds just won’t developed on some of them, but I’m fine with that. I am looking forward to future spectacular bloom shows when it’s a little older and stronger.

    Gorgeous! Five flower spike seems like a lot! Is it common for this orchid to have so many?

      I don’t know, it’s her first blooming for me. It seemed excessive, but the twinkles I’ve seen and read about are pretty prolific bloomers. It’s going to be an interesting one to watch.

    By the way, I think all the spikes will produce the flowers however it will happen on a prolonged period of time.

      Oooh! I’m starting to love these twinkles! 😍

      My twinkle “Oro” was blooming for the whole summer by developing new flower spikes after blooming a couple of times :) Now I want it to rest, so I reduced the light :)
