Hi! My orchid has this root that is coming out from the top of the pot and it has some brown and yellow spots as you can see in the picture. What does this mean? And how do I fix it? Thank you!!

    Looks like an aerial root that dried out. It’s perfectly fine as long as the plant already has other healthy roots. I try to keep my aerial roots on top of the soil and then mist them every once in a while, but this is optional
