It’s that time of year! A consistent bloomer, with a distinctive nighttime only fragrance, easy to care for and vigorous grower. I have 2 directions of growth that continuously develop new ones every year, but I only get blooms on one side, usually alternating. Gonna have to try to crack the code on how to get both sides to bloom at once, it would be such a pretty bloom show. Any thoughts? Maybe I’ll up the fertilizer a bit? I don’t think there’s a spot in my house where it would get more light… 🤔

    So jealous. My key lime refuses to bloom. Are the two active growth points on the same plant? If so, you might separate into two plants. But I would hate to disrupt a consistent bloomer. It might just need to grow some to support more flower spikes.

      Yes- 2 new growths on either end of the plant. I’ll have to take a look and see if it is almost time for a repot, I’d rather mess with it once than upset it every year. You know how persnickety cattleya alliance orchid roots can be. Maybe I’ll cut the rhizome and see if it triggers both sides to think they are independent and both will bloom.
