   Hard to tell from the photo… but flower spikes are peaked like a roof, and will always be at least 3 leafs down from the top. A root will be like a cone and can come from anywhere

   With the way it’s growing out from in between the leaves, I say it’s a flower spike! If it grows upward and has a little “mitten” shape on the top, it’s definitely a flower spike. Congratulations! 🍾

   I have been resisting commenting because I didn’t want to be a party pooper. It’s looking conical and root-ish to me. ☹️ I’ve been there and wanted a new spike so bad, just to be disappointed. Update us with a new pic this week?
