Hey! I just recently removed a leaf from my orchid, because it was not receiving enough light, so it turned yellow. Since then I have been careful to provide more light to the whole plant. ❤️🩹 That being said, I recently noticed some browning around the flower spike… is this normal? What does it mean? Thank you!
Yellowing of a bottom leaf does not necessarily mean it wasn’t getting enough light. Sometimes older, lower leaves, yellow, and fall off as part of the natural cycle of the plant. The browning could be concerning. I would gently peel away the rest of the yellowing portion of the leaf from the stem to see what’s going on under it.

0 Likes I took a look and there it seems that it was just the leaf, with the base only slightly browning at the site. Nothing it won’t heal from!☺️ especially after I repot her!
