Do you know what kind you have? Some dendrobiums are deciduous although I donāt think this is the case with this one. Older canes may also drop leaves but it looks like one of the canes is fairly new. How long have you had it? If itās brand new to you, it might be acclimating to your conditions. Is it in sphagnum? Dendrobiums like to dry out faster than phals so sphagnum isnāt a great option for most home hobbyists. Dendrobiums want a lot of light. I grow mine with Cattleyas if that helps. It might be shedding the leaves because itās not getting enough light.

Thank you for answering ā¤ļø I have had it for a year. It was planted in tiny clay pot. Iām not sure what type of dendrobium is that and what itās planted in⦠but I water it when itās dry and it was growing nicely all this time. And just now I noticed this yellowingā¦. It is in sunny window and has grow light as well⦠do you think I should try to repot it?ā¦

I would. Im guessing the media is breaking down and keeping it too moist.

Thank you š I was delaying repotting scared to disturb it. But itās probably time to do it!

One other thought, I donāt think you have a dendrobium nobile. They have thick, almost club-like canes. They are also deciduous and require a rest in the winter. You might check out YouTube for info on dendrobium care. Channels like Miss Orchid Girl and Growing Orchids with Roger have been very helpful to me.
