So …. The orchid that had rot is drooping ! I need help idk what it is it gets a normal watering so it’s not that ! Does it need more sunlight it hasn’t been getting a lot because it’s in quarantine ? I don’t want this baby to die please help me ! Update - I figured out the issue was overwatering ! Thanks to everyone who helped me
It might be getting too much water and not enough drainage. To fix this get a really nice orchid mix and repot into a well draining pot. The sun will be good for it too. You could also move it into water. To do this you would wash off all the soil then put it in Leca and water. You can also check the roots for rot.
2 Me gusta I just repotted it so I think the mix is fine ! But yes it could be overwatering the only thing is I will have to go buy a new pot because it doesn’t have a drainage hole lol thanks for your help !

1 me gustaWhen you repot- don’t leave the base of the stem in the media- this looks a little low in the pot- you don’t want moisture gathering in the leaf joints- that can cause stem rot. And YES you need good drainage and airflow for phalaenopsis. But to be clear- you may not see mushy roots or signs of rot on this plant- dropping flowers doesn’t mean it’s sick. It could be the shock of the recent repot, the change of environment if it’s new to your home, or just the natural cycle. No plant blooms forever. It will drop its flowers and focus its energy on vegetative growth until it’s time to bloom again.
