Hello. Two weeks ago I was given this orchid that had been neglected. It’s now getting proper water and sun. However, I don’t know much about orchids. Any advice on what I could do to help this guy out would be greatly appreciated!

The leaves look healthy. The roots look relatively good, some dried ends that could be trimmed back, and any mushy roots should be trimmed too. You can trim the flower spikes if you want if the ends are dried out/dead. The roots will turn green when you water and slowly fade to silver as it dries out. Water when most of the visible roots turn silver.

Avoid too much direct sun, as it can burn the leaves. They like bright indirect sun.

Never get water in the crown (where all the leaves meet) and dry it if you splash there. You should repot it, tidy up the roots, and remove any weird packing materials (they're often started in a nursery plug that can retain too much moisture). When watering, use room temperature water, and get it directly on the roots

The best tip I can give you is don’t always water when the Planta app tells you: instead look at the roots! If the roots are green, don’t water. They will literally turn bright green immediately when you soak them. That’s it! Orchids are easy and cool. In the wild they grow in other trees like air plants so they don’t need much soil. I have three orchids in soil and one in water. Mist them with distilled water if you feel like it but it’s not required.
