An orchid one of my friends gave me grew a spike and a keiki! Any tips for the baby? I think its a phal... I'm not 100% sure tho... I'm at another friends house rn but I can put a full pic in the comments on Monday if that helps any :) Side note: if anyone has a foxtail orchid, can you show a pic? I wanna get one and I don't know anything about them lol. TIA!
You can use keiki paste to help speed up development. Leave it on the stem long enough for it to grow its own aerial roots before you remove and pot it. Once you do pot it, especially young orchids tend to need higher moisture retention, so use sphagnum moss while it's little

Good rule of thumb is two inches of leaves, two inches of roots before removing from the mother plant.
