So I just repotted my orchid and I waited a week before watering except when it came time to water it I checked it and its roots look liked THIS: The tip seems blackened and shriveled. I took this after watering. Should I cut off the tip or just wait and it might improve a bit since I watered it?

    Only worry if it progresses up a lot of roots. But these black tips, especially after a repot, can be totally normal. The rest of the root looks excellent. I would just leave it :)

      Agreed. Repotting is a stressful occurrence in an orchid’s life. Not every root will make it, but luckily phals are very resilient. Watch the plant and take action if things start to go south - significant root die back, wrinkling or yellowing leaves, root loss…
