this is so embarrassing but iām SO DESPERATE PLEASE HELP ME. I have a gut feeling these are far passed any reviving, but is there any slight chance of saving these orchids I have? š¢š¢ EDIT FOR BACKGROUND: Iāve had these plants for about 8 months, and a few months back I started to let them goā¦ but now I have time to focus on them! I was great with the care - it was easy and low maintenance, and I could usually get flowers back on them, but theyāve never gotten this bad!
Iām not an orchid fan, but first of all, you need to pull the plant out of its pot and examine the roots. If thereās any green or silver roots, your orchid has a chance. You also need to add some extra information for other Planta members, such as has the soil been wet for a long time, exactly what has happened to it in the past. Any information will be helpful to others who try to help you! Best of luck, and remember, orchids are real survivors!
5 gillningarI agree with Lynda- check the roots. But zooming in on the orchid stems, they look completely dried and desiccated. If there was even a hint of green or a tiny bit of leaf left, there would be hope. Unfortunately, even with roots, these plants have no way of photosynthesizing. Nothing is impossible, but it would be very, very out of the ordinary if these plants made a come-back.

You can definitely save these. First get some orchid bark. Cut off the dried stalks, clean the roots off well, cut off any dried up ones & then give it a peroxide bath. Rinse and then a garlic water bath. Let it dry for a few hours then replant it in the bark mixture and soak the orchid in more garlic water. About 20 mins. I would leave the plants in the same clear slotted pots they come in. Just give it time and keep it in bright diffused light or under a grow light. Also check out you tube vids also. Good luck. And trust the process.

You can definitely save them! Cut the dead flower stems off, and cut the dead roots! Iād also repot them to larger pots and add some orchid fertilizerāI use the pink miracle gro orchid spikes. Itās not that bad! You can save it! I believe in you!!!
Are these spikes worth it? Iāve always felt weird about using spikes for orchids since we use bark instead of traditional soil.
0 gillningar I like the miracle gro spikes. I have them for my other houseplants too and I havenāt noticed a problem but I get a lot of people donāt like them because itās crack for plants and they can become addicted. I actually just got a different fertilizer for hydro so weāll see

I would remove all soil, soak the roots in water ,cut all dead ones and replant orchids in moss.
