Is it normal for orchids old leaves to yellow, it’s been slow but I feel like the bottom leaves have slowly been yellowing and wrinkling. She seems happy since she just put out a new leave and is growing a Bud off of an old stem but I’m still worried.
Yes, as long as its only its oldest leaves. And it should take a looooong time for it to stop supporting the next set. If you notice yellowing any higher up, or the next ones start to yellow shortly after the current ones, I would investigate into other issues. But with all the new growth you’re having, it makes complete sense it would be putting energy into other places :) I like to wait until those yellow leaves are completely drained and very easily separate from the plant before I remove them.
3개 좋아요 Putting it that way makes me feel much better about it. It makes sense that it needs the energy for its new growth especially since it seemed like it all happened at once. I’ll just let it do its thing and keep a close eye on it thank you!
