This was my beautiful little orchid that wilted the way after being gone for two weeks and having a family member, take care of it came back to all the flowers falling off, and all the leaves broke off as well. The leafs were still on the stem when I got back the first day, but after just touching them briefly they just fell off. I ended up replanting it and adding the moss to fill in the space so that the wet wood stuff that the roots were already in, could soak up the moisture and help the roots grow when I came back everything looked like it was dying but when I pulled the root cup out of the pot, there were still a lot of green roots, so that’s why I replanted it. A new orchid could sprout.

Is there any stem at all down in the moss? If the stem has completely rotted away, there’s almost zero chance of anything growing back. The roots will just eventually die off with no leaves to convert sunlight to food for them. If there IS any stem left, get it out from under that moss as the moisture is what caused the stem rot and leaves to fall to begin with. Either way, you should cut the flower spikes off- they do nothing to help the plant and can only sap energy that it needs to regenerate if there is any chance at all.
