This is one of my Phalaenopsis/Moth Orchids. To pot or Not? That is the question. The pot it is currently in is 6 inch diameter. It has a flowering spike coming off the back of this image.

    I’d wait till after it’s flowered. Just to make sure the keike doesn’t go into any shock.

    Wait until after it's done blooming, but then yes, absolutely repot. It looks like it has lots of old dead roots that can be trimmed away. It may even be able to fit back in the same pot

    As usual, I got a bit impatient and decided to repot. I tidied up the dried roots (though not too many), grabbed an old plastic landscape container, and poked a bunch of holes in the side. Then, I put it inside a bigger pot that looked a bit better.
